Disadvantages and Limitations of Wireless Charging
There are many advantages of using a charging pad but there are many disadvantages too. The charging pad is quite a bit expensive making it difficult for a person to afford. Using the pad also reduces the ability of a person to use the phone efficiently during charging. You can check an incoming message, but watching a video or playing a game while your phone is still charging is a bit complicated.
Prior to this, iPhone cases that are thick or contain metal elements may hinder the charging process. Another problem is that iPhone must be placed in a perfect central position of your charging pad in order to consume the maximum power. Wireless charging is also slower and takes a bit more time than a 5-watt charger.
According to a theory, wireless charging generates extra heat that has a potential of damaging your battery and reduces the battery’s lifespan. But in practice, the wireless charger won’t cause any more harm while charging your phone with the help of a stock charger.
There is no denial of the advantages and usefulness of wireless chargers. It is much more convenient to use as it enables you to charge your phone irrespective of your location. If we you are comfortable with all the limitations mentioned above then don’t hesitate to live in future and go wireless.
